MedCity (part of London & Partners) is the cluster organisation for the world-leading health and life sciences sector in London.
Founded in 2014 by the Mayor of London in partnership with the city’s Academic Health Science Centres, MedCity fosters international collaborations between biotech, medtech and pharma companies and the capital’s world-leading life sciences ecosystem to supercharge innovation, drive inward investment and build skills and talent across the sector in the UK.
MedCity and London & Partners has teams based across Europe (UK, France, Germany and Sweden), Asia (India and China), and North America (USA and Canada). The team provides specialist expertise to convene the stakeholders from London’s Life Science ecosystem to support companies establish and grow your international business in London, expand their network in the UK Life Science Ecosystem, and through the Grow London Global programme expand internationally.
They work with their community, which includes NHS stakeholders, charities and research institutes, London boroughs, funders, early-stage companies, and the UK government to support the use and development of MedTech, Diagnostics, Cell and Gene Technologies, Advanced Therapies, Tech-bio, Data/AI-driven innovation and Digital Health, whilst facilitating inclusive innovation and driving smoother, faster pathways to clinical research.
In alignment with their strategic pillars which are; promoting and celebrating London Life Science, developing and connecting London’s Life Science clusters, and supporting and engaging London Life Science companies and communities, their needs are to continue to expand their networks, grow their connections with key stakeholders and partnership in promoting London as a premier destination for Life Science.
