Aims to drive STRATEGIC COLLABORATION AROUND DIGITAL HEALTH
Agreement between MeHI & the European Connected Health Alliance will Advance the Pursuit of Digital Solutions to Global Healthcare Challenges
LOCATION – The Massachusetts eHealth Institute at the Massachusetts Technology Collaborative (MeHI) and the European Connected Health Alliance (ECHAlliance) today announced a new strategic partnership aimed at growing the digital health ecosystems in Massachusetts and Europe. The new agreement between MeHI and ECHAlliance will help advance collaboration, the exchange of ideas, and combine resources to drive the pursuit of real world digital solutions to address the world’s healthcare challenges.
“This is an exciting time for health care technology around the globe and right now, there are few places that are closer to the cutting edge than Massachusetts. We’re delighted to be partnering up with MeHI,” said Brian O’Connor, Chair of ECHAlliance.
“We are thrilled to partner with ECHAlliance and to combine our resources for the advancement of the digital health ecosystems of our two respective regions,” said Laurance Stuntz, director of MeHI.“MeHI has worked on behalf of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts to spur growth in this important sector as part of the Massachusetts Digital Health Initiative, and this new relationship will help strengthen the pipeline to Europe for Massachusetts digital health companies. Massachusetts has established critical ties with innovators around the globe and this new partnership will create opportunities to expand business ties, but also to further cutting edge R&D.”
MeHI and ECHAlliance share similar goals when it comes to the emerging digital health sector, including a common focus on issues, including data security and privacy in healthcare, and plan to work together to make it easier for companies in both regions to explore business opportunities in their respective markets.
In addition to connecting the two digital health ecosystems, MeHI will also work with ECHAlliance to formulate events and activities for the 2018 Connected Health Alliance Conference, which will bring hundreds of global digital health leaders to Boston this fall.
“While our health care markets are very different, the issues we face are the same. This working partnership will be an invaluable asset as we tackle our respective challenges,” said Gregor Cuzak, International Ecosystem Coordinator European Connected Health Alliance.
