We’re delighted to support All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Longevity’s action plan to give all a better chance of living longer in good health.

This month sees the publication of The Health of the Nation – A Strategy for Healthier Longer Lives, a new strategy by the All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Longevity

About the The Health of the Nation – A Strategy for Healthier Longer Lives

We’ve reached an important milestone in our work after nine months, a National Consultation and 11 Advisory Board meetings between May – November 2019.

Our report The Health of the Nation- A Strategy for Healthier Longer Lives is out now. Download here

We’re very excited to help set the UK on a clear path to achieve the government’s goal “for everyone to have five extra years of healthy, independent life by 2035.” And we’re proposing policy and cross-sector collaboration to narrow the shocking life expectancy gap between the richest and poorest.

We hope to see you at our launch event at Kings College London. More than 600 are registered to attend to hear the Health Secretary Matt Hancock, our chair Damian Green MP, our co-leaders and report co-authors Lord Filkin and Tina Woods, Dr Richard Siow, Director of Ageing Research at Kings, Jennifer Dixon of The Health Foundation, Andy Briggs of The Longevity Council and many distinguished others. The agenda is here
