Mark Your Calendars: 22-24 September

ECHAlliance will be actively involved in the Summit of the Future on Sept 22nd, the Global Digital Compact on Sept 23rd, and culminating in an ECHAlliance day of dedicated programming, including Plenary Sessions and Roundtable Discussions on Sept 24th in New York. On this day we will delve into two pivotal topics: Women’s Health and Data & Digital Innovation.

Addressing Women’s Health

Women constitute approximately half of the global population, yet their contributions to and challenges within the healthcare system are often underrepresented. Our sessions on Women’s Health, will explore key advancements and opportunities to enhance women’s health through research. Discussions will focus on:

  • Addressing female underrepresentation in research
  • The role of women as caregivers and healthcare decision-makers
  • Barriers to accessing care and improving health outcomes for women worldwide

These sessions aim to identify opportunities for both domestic and global collaborations and to inform the development of a comprehensive women’s health research agenda. The insights gained will be compiled into an Outcomes Report to be presented to the United Nations.

Exploring Data & Digital Innovation

In today’s rapidly evolving technological landscape, the integration of data and digital solutions is paramount to advancing healthcare systems. Our discussions will cover:

  • Is AI ready to be deployed at scale in healthcare systems around the world?
  • Data First, AI Later
  • Digital Health Innovation
  • AI Regulation
  • Modernising healthcare in the next 5 years
  • Digital Health opportunities in Africa

By addressing these challenges, we aim to propose innovative solutions that can be adopted globally to improve healthcare delivery and outcomes.
