The Foundation for the Training and Research of Health Professionals of Extremadura (Fundesalud), member of the Extremadura Health Ecosystem, is part of the ambitious European project EU-JAMRAI 2- Joint Action Antimicrobial Resistance and Healthcare-Associated Infections 2.
The Kick-Off meeting took place in Paris 13th-14th February to unveil the next chapter in Europe’s unified response to antimicrobial resistance. EU-JAMRAI 2 brings together 120 organizations from 30 countries. The project seeks to implement concrete actions to monitor, prevent and effectively tackle antimicrobial resistance across human, animal and environmental health domains, empowering participating countries to strengthen their national action plans.
Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) is one of the biggest health threats of our times and with this action the largest funded #EU4Health project in history is being launched to help reduce the risk of RAM.
Fundesalud, as a partner of the Spanish Agency for Medicines and Medical Devices, participates in several communication tasks and awareness campaigns, supporting actions to engage Member States for sustainable impact and better health for citizens and actions planned to raise awareness on the silent AMR pandemic.
And of the participation in JAMRAI-2 spoke the Head of Area of Scientific Coordination of Fundesalud, Jonathan Gómez Raja, in Dusseldorf in the frame of a organized event on “Successful Research and Innovation in Europe”.The conference invited researchers and entrepreneurs from Europe to find new research and innovation (R&I) partners for Horizon Europe projects. Participants were invited to become involved in established and new technology networks between researchers, entrepreneurs and multipliers related to Horizon Europe.
