PULSE Project is glad to announce that will organize the 17th ICOST Conference. After sixteen successful editions and building upon the experienced background of the conference founder Istitut Mines-Télecóm, the ICOST 2019 will be hosted by New York University (NYU) and the New York Academy of Medicine (NYAM) in New York City, USA, from 14th to 16th October 2019.

This year, the organizers have decided to open the conference to public health experts and tackle emerging challenges related to Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies for health and wellbeing. ICOST provides a premier venue for the presentation and discussion of research in the design, development, deployment and evaluation of Artificial Intelligence for health, Smart Urban Environments, Assistive Technologies, Chronic Disease Management, Coaching and Health Telematics systems.

This year, ICOST aims at understanding and assessing how research impacts Public Health policies in facing emerging social and economic challenges. To this purpose, ICOST2019 brings together stakeholders from clinical, Public Health Organizations (PHOs), academics and industrial perspectives along with end users and family caregivers to explore how to utilize technologies to foster health prevention, independent living, and offer an enhanced quality of life.

In particular, among the specific uses cases, PULSE will be presented and its results showcased with specific emphasis to the launch of the Public Health Observatory which is expected by the end of summer 2019.

The conference features a dynamic program incorporating a range of technical, clinical, and industrial related keynote speakers, oral and poster presentations along with demonstrations and technical exhibits.

SUBMISSION OF PAPERS AND DEMONSTRATION PROPOSALS

There will be a combination of presentations including scientific papers, posters, exhibits and technology demonstrations. Prospective authors are invited, in the first instance, to submit papers for oral presentation in any of the topics of interest for this conference as well as proposals for Special Sessions. The submission for evaluation should be in the form of 8 to 12 pages paper written in English.

Accepted papers will appear in the conference proceedings to be published by Springer in Open Access. No registration extra fees will be applied for Open Access publication.

Accepted papers should be submitted with up to 8 pages. Up to 4 extra pages are accepted, however they will be charged 30€/page.

Accepted papers must follow the guidelines found on the conference website http://www.icost-society.org/authorinstructions.html and be submitted electronically in PDF or RTF/DOC format at the following address: https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=icost2019.

Moreover, researchers and industry experts with significant contributions in the areas of smart cities, urban design, smart homes, health telematics, chronic disease management and assistive technologies are encouraged to participate and present research prototypes or innovative systems to ICOST participants. The description should be limited to one page and should be submitted to: icost2019@easychair.org.
