Horizon Europe has a wide variety of open calls for healthcare, with closing dates in September 2021, April 2022 and September 2022 (the registration has opened on 12 July 2021). The total budget is  €691m across 48 different calls.

These include tackling diseases and reducing disease burden, staying healthy, health industry, health care, new technologies and digital solutions for a healthy society, and health-promoting environment.

The Health Cluster aims to mainly contribute to four impact areas of the strategic plan:

  • Good health and high-quality accessible health care;
  • A resilient EU prepared for emerging threats;
  • High quality digital services for all;
  • and a competitive and secure data-economy.
