Health Hub is approved as a European Digital Innovation Hub in Greece, while it also received the European Commission’s Seal of Excellence. Health Hub will support the Digital Transformation of the Health & Pharma sector and Greece’s healthcare ecosystem.
The Institute of Entrepreneurship Development (iED) is the coordinator of the EDIH Health Hub, a partnership of 24 partners in total, covering the regions of Thessaly, the South Aegean, Western Greece, the Ionian Islands, Crete, Central Macedonia and Attica.
The European Digital Innovation Hub (EDIH) Health Hub is one of the approved Digital Innovation Hubs in Greece and has received the European Commission’s Seal of Excellence. It is a Hub for the Digital Transformation of the Health & Pharma sector and Greece’s healthcare ecosystem.
Capitalising on the capabilities provided by Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the emerging technologies, Health Hub will provide services to individuals, businesses, and organisations from the Private and Public Sector in the following categories:
- Test before invest,
- Knowledge and innovation transfer,
- Support to find investments,
- Innovation ecosystem and networking.
The Institute of Entrepreneurship Development (iED) is Health Hub’s coordinator with headquarters at the JOIST Innovation Park in Larissa, managing a total of 24 partners:
- 3 Public Bodies,
- 8 University Departments,
- 6 Research Technology Organisations,
- 3 Health Providers,
- and 6 Business Support Organisations.
With the help of its partners, Health Hub’s activities reach as far as the regions of Thessaly, the South Aegean, Western Greece, the Ionian Islands, Crete, Central Macedonia and Attica.
Health Hub will work closely with the Hellenic Ministry of Digital Governance, which coordinated the process for the nomination of the Greek Digital Innovation Hubs through their participation in the European Digital Innovation Hubs Network. Further, it will work with the Hellenic Ministry of Health for the effective digital transformation of the Public and Private sectors so that Greece can have a pivotal role with ever-increasing significance at the European and International levels.
