The Global Telehealth Community of Practice (GTCoP) is a collaborative space for Governments, the private sector, healthcare institutions, donors, implementers, and academics to share valuable telehealth insights. It fosters collaboration among stakeholders to enhance resources, improve implementation and promote knowledge exchange.
Launched in November 2023, the GTCoP aims to develop multiple national telehealth communities globally. The GTCoP’s core team includes VillageReach, the Geneva Digital Health Hub (University of Geneva), and the International Society for Telemedicine & eHealth (ISfTeH). The WHO forms the steering committee.
The GTCoP’s focus is telehealth. The GTCoP has four key workstreams:
• Identify and share existing telehealth interventions, best practices, and tools at both national and global levels
• Organize and sustain national telehealth groups for ongoing collaboration, knowledge exchange, and networking
• Advance the development of regulatory and policy frameworks that support the growth and quality of telehealth services
• Foster better digital literacy for all cadres of health workers to empower them to adopt and use new telehealth tools with ease
The GTCoP is dedicated to accelerating global telehealth transformation by partnering with key stakeholders. We want to join the ECHAlliance community to network and collaborate with other members invested in telehealth to continue to work together to create a vibrant community of interested participants at the global, regional, and country levels.
