Step into the world of Fundación Pondera, where passion meets purpose. Established in 2018, it proudly stand as Spain’s inaugural foundation solely devoted to healthcare management.

The goal? Nothing short of transforming lives and safeguarding the planet. From fostering sustainability to fostering economic growth and global equality, our initiatives span continents, touching the lives of over 14 million individuals, including those in indigenous and vulnerable communities.

Guided by a blend of efficiency, equity, and unwavering compassion, they’re not just about talk; they’re about tangible action. Whether it’s supporting local projects, strategizing improvements, or revolutionizing hospital management, their hands-on approach leaves an indelible mark.

They are involved in projects in several African countries. Cameroon was the first country they worked with, specifically collaborating in the management of the Nôtre Dame de la Santé hospital. In the Democratic Republic of Congo, they developed a strategic plan for two centers: the Kafakumba General Referral Hospital and the Kanzenze General Referral Hospital. Currently, they are collaborating on several projects in Ethiopia. They have a group of interconnected projects in Gondar, a city in the Amhara region. They collaborate with the Gondar University Hospital, the second-largest hospital in the country, serving a population of about 12 million people. Additionally, they work with the Apostolic Prefecture of Robe in the Ethiopian Oromia region, deploying the Araara Neuro-Psychiatric Hospital.

Venturing into the Americas, they embrace the ethos of Planetary Health, striving to harmonize the needs of nature and humanity. They are joining efforts to create Ecuador’s first institute for Planetary Health research. The “Planetary Health Research Center – Manuel Amunarriz” will be a researchinstitute embedded in the Amazon rainforest, committed to sustainability and the balance between natural, animal, and human communities. Together with the Franklin Tello hospital, they aim to ensure the survival and development of various indigenous communities in the heart of the Amazon.

None of this would be possible without the invaluable support of our partners and collaborators. Together, they’re rewriting the narrative of corporate social responsibility. Ready to join us in making a difference?
