Health Portugal, a recently created brand, aims to unify the Portuguese health value chain dynamics and tremendous boost in the global most demanding markets, sheltering already more than 300 products and almost 200 companies.
2024 Highlights
This year, the brand’s activities focused on three main areas:
• Participation in global trade fairs – Health Portugal exhibited at prominent events such as MEDICA, HIMSS Europe, BIO-Europe, and ArabHealth, enhancing international recognition.
• Online presence – Launch of a dedicated newsletter and profiles on Meta social media platforms (Facebook and Instagram).
• International events in Portugal – Organization of the Innovating Health Together Conference, fostering collaboration and networking.
The Health Portugal brand, created by Health Cluster Portugal, has played a significant role in boosting the sector’s exports. According to the latest data from AICEP, between 2020 and 2023, Portuguese health product exports nearly doubled, increasing from €1.75 billion to €3.34 billion. The USA, Germany, France, and Spain are among the leading importers of Portuguese health innovations, particularly in pharmaceuticals.
