Ecosystem’s success in 2022: Extremadura, European reference site in active and healthy ageing

On 10 October in Brussels, the Extremadura region received a European recognition for its active policies to promote innovation in the field of active and healthy ageing: the 4th star of the RSCN (Reference Sites Collaborative Network).

The case of Extremadura is remarkable, as it has achieved the highest recognition (4 stars) and contributes to Spain being considered the best country in Europe for ageing,

According to this ranking, with 12 regions with 4 stars. FundeSalud and the Extremadura Service for the Promotion of Autonomy and Care for Dependency (SEPAD) contributed to achieving this recognition through different cooperation and innovation projects in this field: MoveCare, Essence, dRural and CRANE.
