ECHAlliance, expanding to be fit for the future
Global Connector

It’s been 10 years since we’ve created the ECHAlliance and a lot has happened: a fast-growing community, a continuous promotion of the digital transformation of healthcare, bold ideas and innovations through our members, impacting our health systems and the life of millions of citizens”, said Brian O’Connor, Founder and Chair of the European Connected Health Alliance.

With its European headquarters now with operations spanning the globe, ECHAlliance is one of the largest worldwide non-profit organisations in digital health with a community of 16,500 experts, in 78 countries covering a population of 4,6 billion people. Recently, ECHAlliance has also launched its Global Health Connector Partnership gathering leading health organisations such as the American Telemedicine Association (ATA), the HLTH events & communities, the African Health Business (AHB), the Commonwealth Centre for Digital Health, etc. to scale up our collaboration globally.

The recent years have seen the acceleration of the digitisation of health and social care across the world, with new technologies (AI, machine learning, blockchain, 5G, etc.) and new care delivery models. The recent pandemic has also (tragically but) deeply disrupted healthcare.

In a word, the world has changed, so has ECHAlliance!

The ECHAlliance Board of Directors & team are proud to announce that, after having listened to our members and partners, after analysing the upcoming challenges on the digital health landscape and after having reviewed our internal organisation, ECHAlliance has re-vamped entirely its operations model.

We have aligned our objectives and assets with the needs of our community:

In order to accomplish this mission, ECHAlliance has expanded to a more horizontal and cross-cutting group to meet the needs of our members and partners with the creation of:

Our services will be delivered by our highly-skilled Executive team

This team is supported by the Board of Directors of ECHAlliance, the Digital Health Society (DHS) and by the Digital health Observatory (DHO).

By the creation of a group wide horizontal approach and levering expertise across both the ECHAlliance and our global community we will be fit to continue to serve our Global expanding community and the continued transformation of digital health.
