Our very first Nordic Ecosystem Gathering at Radical Health Festival Helsinki successfully brought together 18 speakers from Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Estonia and a pack room of attendees on the 12th of June at Radical Health Festival in Helsinki, Finland.

With 18 speakers from the ECHAlliance network from Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Estonia and 1 workshop hosted by the EU Project DigitalHealthUptake, our first Nordic Ecosystem Gathering was a great opportunity to connect, convene, amplify and accelerate the work of our members and ecosystems across the Nordics.

Sweden

The event, moderated by ECHAlliance’s Andy Bleaden, started focusing on Sweden with the launch of our Swedish Presidency Connector by ECHAlliance’s Adriana Díaz, followed by inspiring presentations by ECHAlliance members Michel Silvestri and Michael Peolsson from the Swedish eHealth Agency, Ulf Ivarsson from Moxiam and Anže Droljc from ECHAlliance Foundation Partner Better.

Digital Health Uptake and Green Health

We then discussed how can the uptake of digital health solutions be accelerated in the Nordics and remote areas led by ECHAlliance’s Karolina Mackiewicz from the EU Project Digital Health Uptake (DHU). She also presented ECHAlliance’s initiative on Green Health.

Estonia, Norway and Denmark

Next, we shifted the spotlight to Estonia with Hille Hinsberg from our Estonian Connected Health Cluster ecosystem, to Norway with Sergio Ferreira representing our 2 Norwegian ecosystems: Norway Health Tech Ecosystem and the Norwegian Smart Care Cluster and to Denmark with Christian Mercado from the South Denmark Ecosystem and Lars Münter from the Nordic Health 2030 Ecosystem.

Finland

Then, we featured our Finnish ecosystems with Kaisu Sutinen from Health Capital Helsinki Ecosystem, Aki Gröhn from Kuopio Health Ecosystem, Minna Komu from OuluHealth Ecosystem and Pia Nyman from Vaasa Welfare Technology Ecosystem, as well as our members with Kari Kohtamaki, Senior Advisor at VTT and ECHAlliance Ambassador and Heikki Tarkkila, Associated Patner at McKinsey, ECHAlliance Foundation Partner.

Thematic Innovation Ecosystems

Finally, we introduced our Thematic Innovation Ecosystems (TIE) and Leena Rasa, Project Expert, at HYTKI – National Health and Wellbeing Data Innovation Ecosystem (HYTKI), talked about this Finnish Network and how they lead our Health Data TIE.
