ECHAlliance and the Digital Health Society are partnering with other European Organisations to hold a Health Summit in Brussels on 29 November 2018. The ECHAlliance is leading one of the 4 Working Groups on eHealth, data and digital.
EU Health Summit 2018 – A shared vision for health
Health protection and promotion is one of the main concerns of European citizens. Although in the past Europe has been very successful in building a healthy environment for its citizens, new health and societal challenges, such as the rise of chronic diseases, the ageing population and the outbreak of cross-border health threats, can only be tackled at a European level.
On November 29, a large number of European organisations involved in health and healthcare policy will host the first ever high-level EU Health Summit to discuss the future of health at EU level. Bringing together European leaders, policy makers and health stakeholders, the summit will take a fresh look into how Europe could develop and take the lead in areas such as research and innovation, health data and digital health, healthcare organisation and financing as well as health in all policies. The aim of the Summit is to distill recommendations for the next European Commission and European Parliament to bring the necessary changes about.
