DNV Healthcare looking for strategic partners to develop trust mechanisms in data-driven healthcare for Horizon Europe funding

The Horizon Europe funding program offers opportunities for developing innovative and ambitious solutions by and for a wide breadth of stakeholders. Supporting development of new tools and mechanisms to meet the needs of healthy societies, and delivering a sustainable globally competitive healthcare industry are just two of the destinations (5 and 6, under cluster 1: Health) that align with our goals at DNV.

In DNV, we believe that health data should be interoperable and accessible within a patient-centered ecosystem based on transparency, accountability and trust. Much knowledge stands to be generated from today’s patients and their data, which has the potential to guide treatment tomorrow. Yet fragmented and incompatible data systems and a lack of legal clarification around the secondary use of such data, in particular across national borders, often stand in the way of the development and use of this knowledge.

Connected to this, two Horizon Europe calls that we are interested in are:

  • Scaling up multi-party computation, data anonymisation techniques, and synthetic data generation (HORIZON-HLTH-2022-IND-13-02)
  • New methods for the effective use of real-world data and/or synthetic data in regulatory decision-making and/or in health technology assessment (HORIZON-HLTH-2022-TOOL-11-02)

Combining technical, digital and operational expertise, risk methodology and in-depth industry knowledge, DNV acts as a trusted, independent third party to empower our stakeholders decisions and actions with trust and confidence.

DNV’s Healthcare research programme works with partners through large-scale public-private research and innovation projects (see BigMed, the Nordic Alliance for Clinical Genomics and AI-Mind to name a few) to address the data-sharing and infrastructure needs, legal and regulatory challenges, and gaps in trust that prevent the clinical implementation of precision medicine, AI, and new digital technologies.

If you think our skills and interests could align with any consortiums you are building for these calls (or other relevant AI- in health / data driven Health calls) please reach out to us to find out more about how we can support your project for example; through trust building, interoperability, sustainability, management of data and governance, cybersecurity and risk assessment.
