Over 2 weeks in October 2019, the Health & Social Care Alliance Scotland have toured Scotland asking its people: how can we harness the power of digital to look after our health and wellbeing, on our own terms? The final event took place in Inverness, at Eden Court. Over 50 people and 30 professionals came together to experience a selection of innovations and discuss the latest developments in digital health and care.
Exhibitors included NHS Highland and Technology Enabled Care, local and national third sector organisations such as LGOWIT and British Heart Foundation respectively, representatives from the University of Highlands and Islands, innovation bodies such as Nesta and the DHI, as well as a selection of private sector providers. Workshops were also held, allowing visitors to gain a more in-depth understanding of the services available to them.
Feedback from both visitors and collaborators was overwhelmingly positive, the day having been a success suitable for all ages. Moving forward, the Health & Social Care Alliance Scotland are keen to strengthen the positive connections made with stakeholders in Inverness and look for further opportunities to engage with people and innovators.
