Consultation on investment in innovative digital solutions for Active & Healthy Ageing
Horizon 2020

Consultation on investment by organisations in innovative digital solutions for Active & Healthy Ageing – have your say!

The European Innovation Partnership on Active and Healthy Ageing, supported by ECHAlliance, has engaged with several multi-stakeholders organisations called “Champions” in the development of a Blueprint, a living document containing a ‘shared vision’ on how innovation enabled by a Digital Single Market can transform health and care provision and contribute to the European Silver Economy.

The European Commission’s goals for 2018 include that organisations in 50+ regions will be investing in the implementation / deployment of large scale digital-enabled solutions for the health and care of its citizens, with an additional 4 million citizens benefiting from these innovative solutions.

For this purpose, a short online consultation has been launched to establish the investment plans of all those organisations, large and small, that are actively deploying and implementing large-scale, sustainable, digitally-enabled innovative solutions for active and healthy ageing across Europe.

The consultation will inform the creation of an Investment Map illustrating the plans for investment by organisations in this area, contributing to the EIP on AHA Policy Dashboard .

ECHAlliance is currently identifying and mobilising the relevant organisations involved in the scaling up of innovation across Europe, and we want to quantify and qualify the investment being made in the implementation of innovative solutions for active and healthy ageing.

Your opportunity to contribute

You can participate by completing a short online Consultation Questionnaire. This is where organisations can tell the EC about their investments (both committed and potential) in the implementation of innovative solutions for active and health ageing 2017 – 2020.

Note that submission of this questionnaire does not infer a commitment from your organisation to invest. Rather it provides the EC with a clearer picture of the plans for investment by organisations in this area.

You can also indicate in the Questionnaire if you would be willing to participate in a follow-up interview to discuss your investments further.

Closing date for submission of responses to the Online Consultation is 20 May 2017.

Gain visibility

This is an excellent opportunity for organisations (any organisation, irrespective of being partner of the EIP on AHA or not) to gain visibility at a European level for their plans to invest in innovative digital-enabled AHA solutions, to identify enablers or obstacles that can impact on the realisation of those investments, as well as to contribute to the creation of an Investment Map for innovative digital-enabled AHA solutions.

Data protection

Consultation responses will be shared with the European Commission. The Investment Map will display the list of organisations who responded to the Consultation, along with their organisation logo (if provided) and their plans for future investment. Contact details will not be displayed. The Investment Map will be published by the European Commission through the EIP AHA dashboard.

Who should complete the Questionnaire?

The Consultation Questionnaire should be completed by the person who has budgetary responsibility and oversight of the committed and potential investments of your organisation. It is very easy to complete. It contains mostly multiple choice questions and will only take a few minutes.

Closing date for submission of responses to the Online Consultation is 20 May 2017.
