The journal aims to be a forum accessible to clinicians, researchers, industry and government. It’s high impact content will take the form of editorials, original research reports, study protocols, review articles,
commentary and opinion pieces, and brief communications.

In recent years, and expedited during the COVID-19 pandemic, digital health technologies have been rapidly evolving and we have seen how these technologies have had a significant impact on patient care and safety internationally, as well as on global population health. Many organisations are rethinking their strategies to find better ways to adapt and improve the health ecosystem. The multidisciplinary field of digital health involves stakeholders from a wide variety of domains, including medicine, nursing, pharmacy and the pharmaceutical sciences, allied health, computer science and informatics, data science and analytics, digital media, engineering, psychological and behavioural sciences, public health, and health economics and management to design, develop, apply, evaluate, implement and support technological innovations that address real-world problems in practice settings. By merging the science of technology with technical know-how and healthcare expertise, patients’ health outcomes can be improved, and patient safety can be enhanced.
