Micro CT is a technology that allows imaging and recording samples or objects in high resolution, examining detailed sections and then structuring this data as desired. These samples can be vary widely, such as a bone sample or cement core. Samples and techniques could change depending on the purpose of the study or research. The samples to be examined in the device must be smaller than 96 mm in diameter and 120 mm in height. Scanning results are delivered in a reconstructed form.

Micro CT technology can be used in many disciplines on a wide scale; such as biomedical materials, composite materials, dental research, electronic circuits, geology, construction and anatomy.
