80 million € development program for health-related manufacturing programme in Western Hungary

Health industry supporting action plan with budget, dedicated funding sources, unanimous support by local and national government – it is the recent progress of the regional health ecosystem development program in Western Hungary. There were 6 months work of preparation by the broad network of local stakeholders – municipality, business intermediaries, universities. Over 1.000 people filled in questionnaires, commented and contributed, what makes the entire program socially accepted. Key focuses are health industry FDI, research and education promotion. In order to give a further boost at end of June Interreg Europe Peer Review will take place, when 5 thematic experts specialized on health-care industry investment promotion will provide support to the local ecosystem players.
