FACT-FINDING TRIP TO CATALONIA – South Denmark ecosystem
Ecosystems

On 25th – 28th September a delegation from the South Denmark ecosystem organised by Welfare Tech Cluster did a return visit to the Catalonian Mental Health Cluster in Spain as part of a cluster2cluster collaboration. With a special focus on technology-based social- and health care, representatives from private companies, hospitals, municipalities etc. went to Catalonia with the purpose of gaining insights into the Catalan health innovation field, opportunities in the Catalan market, and the possibility to identify strategic partners. The study trip offered matchmaking, networking events and visits to municipalities, hospitals, care facilities and companies in the region, as well as an idea generation workshop for future collaboration opportunities.

“A close relationship to research is crucial for our company. If we don’t innovate we die. Focus is on how to make the service and technology available in everyday life. We have to inform potential customers about new technology and thereby creating the market. The new technologies are transforming the healthtech industry.” Says Albert Giralt, CEO Avinent
