On the 29th November 2022, at 14h00-17h00 CET, the Societal Impact of Pain is hosting an event entitled: ‘Pain in the International Classification of Diseases (ICD-11): A SIP Event’.
The Societal Impact of Pain Platform (SIP) is currently focusing on ICD-11, and as part of its activities in 2022, it’s revisiting the SIP Road Map Monitor, in order to understand how national guidelines, action plans, and the status of policies supporting the updated priorities of SIP, have evolved in the last few years, especially, after the challenging past 2 years with the COVID-19 pandemic.
The results from the SIP Road Map Monitor 2022 will officially be launched at this event.
The meeting is an invitation-only event so if you are interested in attending, please send an email to Advocacy and Projects Officer Ángela Cano Palomares, angela.palomares@efic.org.

The ‘Societal Impact of Pain’ (SIP) platform is a multi-stakeholder partnership led by the European Pain Federation EFIC and Pain Alliance Europe (PAE), which aims to raise awareness of pain and change pain policies. The platform provides opportunities for discussion for health care professionals, pain advocacy groups, politicians, healthcare insurance providers, representatives of health authorities, regulators, and budget holders. The scientific framework of the SIP platform is under the responsibility of EFIC and the strategic direction of the project is defined by both partners. The pharmaceutical company Grünenthal GmbH is the main sponsor of the Societal Impact of Pain (SIP) platform.
