Rethinking Remote 2018

The Scottish Rural Health Partnership is hosting their second ‘Rethinking Remote’ International Conference in Eden Court, Inverness on May 24/25 2018. The Partnership, based in the Highlands of Scotland seeks to foster thoughts and ideas sharing to find solutions to the many challenges of providing health care to remote and rural communities worldwide. Their wide network of national and international colleagues with involvement in remote and rural healthcare includes partners and stakeholders from academia, healthcare education, health and social care providers, the Armed Forces and Industry.The Conference has five principal themes relevant to remote healthcare – Emergency Management and Pre-hospital Care; Education and Professional Support; Community Engagement; Technology (including drones, robots, satellites and remote diagnosis and communication); Community care (including physical and mental health and wellbeing), supported by a group of international speakers of national and world ranking status.
