Integrated Care Thematic Innovation Ecosystem

Integrated Care and the impact of COVID-19 on delivering integration

The ECHAlliance Thematic Innovation Ecosystem on Integrated Care is a forum for the sharing of good practices, exchanging ideas and gaining new knowledge.

The first European Connected Health Alliance (ECHAlliance) Thematic Innovation Ecosystem on Integrated Care was held in May 20201, it featured examples from Scotland and from Lithuania about we communicate the need for change, especially considering the COVID-19 response.

The response to COVID-19 has required health and care systems to adapt and to provide services in innovative ways. The session on 7 October 2021 will focus what lessons can be learned at this stage in our journey, regarding whether the COVID-19 pandemic has made a lasting impact on efforts to deliver Integrated Health and Care.

Our contributors will be talking about:

  • Whether the response to COVID-19 has resulted in improved collaboration between health and care service providers towards integrated care.
  • Whether improved collaboration and accelerated integration has supported the delivery of any new services.
  • Any negative impacts of the COVID-19 response – resulting in poorer communication or less collaboration of priority for Integrated Health and Care.

The webinar will share expertise from other regions and countries of impact of COVID-19 on their progress towards integrated care and accelerate the learning and potential adoption of this knowledge at local and regional level.
