The Aragonian Institute of Health Sciences (IACS) Chair on Innovation Procurement in Health will hold its first Innovation Procurement in Health Congress. This is part of the strategy to promote and consolidate the Innovation Procurement in the Department of Health of the Government of Aragon as a vital instrument to ensure that public health needs are met through intelligent and innovative solutions.
IACS and the University of Zaragoza intend to develop a joint project of training, research, technology transfer and knowledge in order to generate and exchange knowledge in this field.
Purpose of the eventThe purpose of the congress is to put on the table all the aspects that have to be taken into account in order to launch a process of this kind and the success stories that have already been experienced in Spain. Experts in public procurement for innovation (PPI) and public workers, will present the details of the different processes that have been initiated in Spain in this field and that have contributed to introducing products and services adapted to the needs of the clients and in which innovation has been included as a determining factor. The program also includes a round table on ways to finance Innovation Procurement, emphasizing the FEDER plans or H2020 calls and financial tools.Practical InformationThe registration period will remain open until a few days before the event. The cost is EUR 55 per person, and it includes assistance, coffee, dinner on the night of 13 July and a tour of some of the most emblematic places in the city. In addition, a bonus has been established for those who complete the registration before July 15, who will pay only EUR 40. The period for sending communications and posters will close on 3 September, after which the scientific committee will decide which are the three best presented.
