We are very happy to launch our Health Data Thematic Innovation Ecosystem led by the Finnish HYTKI – National Health and Wellbeing Data Innovation Ecosystem. This first webinar will take place online on the 19th of April from 11:00 to 13:00 CET and it will focus on “Accessing Synthetic Health Data for SMEs.” Register now here!
Accessing Synthetic Health Data for SME’s
What is the problem?
For SMEs, testing your very first AI ideas can be especially challenging for various reasons. Barriers exist that are either technical or linked to regulations – even more so, if the company has just started its journey in the healthcare domain.
For example, in Finland, after all required permits and applications are filled in, it may take a year – or more – before the SME can start testing their ideas in practice.
On top of that, there are no guarantees that the SME ever gets the permission to work with actual healthcare data meaning wasted innovation.
What is the solution?
A partial solution to this situation is synthetic healthcare data. Testing the first AI ideas without the burden of regulation can speed up the product development significantly – and eventually market
access as well.
However, good synthetic healthcare data is hard to find for three reasons linked to data currency; narrow data applicability and data leaks from source data as well as effective methods to create synthetic data.
Join the online free to attend the joint Thematic Innovation Ecosystem on Health Data led by the Finnish Hytki network and ECHAlliance’s Data arm – the Digital Health Society that will focuses the needs and solutions around:
a) testing early-stage AI solutions with synthetic healthcare data,
b) creating synthetic data that addresses the issues depicted above.
This will be ideal for European Digital Innovation Hubs (EDIHs) that offer healthcare data related services, such as training or as test-before-invest (testbed) services as well as other ECHAlliance Ecosystems and members in this field.
We will showcase not only the needs but also where best practice is and how we can collaborate.
