Connection Day 2024

CataloniaBio & HealthTech  will celebrate the second edition of Connection Day  on Tuesday , May 7 , at La Farga Congress, in Hospitalet de Llobregat. After debuting last year, the day expands the contents of the program and extends to the full day.

The aim of this day is to be a reference space for B2B connection in the health sector , where the more than 225 members of the CataloniaBio & HealthTech community, as well as entities from the ecosystem, can explore synergies and bridges of collaboration in the products, services or solutions they offer. An exhibitor area will be set up where entities can promote themselves and encourage partnering  with the rest of the attendees . It will be complemented by presentation sessions on business initiatives in health and a specialized job market . The conference is aimed at all types of companies in the health sector (biotech, medtech, pharma, digital health and services), as well as knowledge generators who want to value their technology and/or innovation.

In the context of Connection Day, CataloniaBio & HealthTech will officially present the Investment Study in the Health Sector 2023 , which the association elaborates together with the consulting firm EY. The Investment Study in the life sciences and health sector in Catalonia, promoted by CataloniaBio & HealthTech, aims to collect the main indicators and provide an analysis of business investment in the sector. We will share the key figures from our study and later analyze the data in a round table with key players in the ecosystem.

PARTICIPATION OPTIONS

B2B partnering : 

All registered persons and entities may have access to B2B partnering . Upon confirmation of your Connection Day 2024 registration, you will receive an email link to register on the meeting management platform. There you will find the companies, schedules and spaces available to organize meetings.

Participate as an exhibitor: 

Exclusive for members of  CataloniaBio & HealthTech  and collaborating entities . The exhibitor will be the same for all entities and will consist of simple furniture for all types of entities (a high table and two stools). Each entity will bring its roll-up or similar to give visibility to its brand (recommended dimensions 2m x 1m). All companies and/or organizations that participate as an exhibitor will be included in the guestbook of the event.

Participate in the Investment Forum : 

Do you want to boost your startup? Looking for new investors? Participate in the ‘pitch’ and investment forum within Connection Day 2024. Organized by CataloniaBio & HealthTech, together with ACCIÓ.

Format:

• Presentations of 10 startups (no competition) – 3 minutes/pitch
• Startups from the health sector (pharma, medtech, biotech, digital health, services) in Catalonia can be presented there
• with 10 or less years of foundation

Phases:

• Selection of startups : It will be done through an external selection committee with other agents of the ecosystem.
• ACCIÓ professionals will advise on the preparation of the pitch that will take place during Connection Day (May 7).

How to sign up:

You must send a business plan (in PPT) or deck,  which contains at least information on: purpose, problem, solution, technology, competition, business model, founding team, milestones achieved and upcoming milestones to be achieved, financial projections, information about the round

Participate in the Job Market Place : 

If you want to meet professionals in the Biomedicine and Health sector to incorporate them into your organization, we invite you to participate in the Job Market Place that Barcelona Activa organizes in collaboration with CataloniaBio & HealthTech . A recruitment and networking space where you will find professionals – pre-selected by Barcelona Activa – suited to your needs.

Barcelona Activa will publish the professional profiles you are interested in knowing and pre-select the CVs that suit your needs. Interviews will take place on the day of the event at the Job Market Place.
