Tehnopol is hosting the "Care About IT" international hackathon on March 13–14, 2025, inviting students from Estonia, the Netherlands, Finland, and Italy to collaboratively tackle real-world healthcare and biotech challenges. This online event offers participants the opportunity to work on industry-provided problems, engage in hands-on workshops, and receive mentorship from experts, all under the guidance of renowned design thinking specialist Helen Minařík. The hackathon aims to foster cross-border innovation and equip future professionals with essential skills to address evolving demands in healthcare and technology sectors. Registration is open until February 27, 2025.

Are you ready to take on real-world healthcare and biotech challenges? On March 13–14, Tehnopol invites students from Estonia, the Netherlands, Finland, and Italy to participate in a dynamic online international hackathon designed to spark innovation and collaboration.

This event, part of the Care About IT project, brings together students eager to create cutting-edge solutions for real-life issues in healthcare and biotech. Whether you’re passionate about technology, care, or both, this is your opportunity to make a tangible impact while learning and growing with peers from around the world.

What to expect?

  • Solve real-life challenges: Work on real problems provided by industry experts.
  • Inspiration from a keynote speaker: Gain new insights to fuel your creative process.
  • Hands-on workshops: Learn design thinking and idea validation techniques to develop practical solutions.
  • Mentorship: Collaborate with expert mentors to refine and present your ideas.

When?

  • March 13: 9:00–19:00 CET
  • March 14: 9:00–18:00 CET

Event is moderated by Helen Minařík, a globally recognized expert in design thinking and entrepreneurship, will guide the hackathon. With over 20 years of experience, Helen has mentored startups in 60+ countries and led various innovation projects worldwide.

This hackathon is part of a larger initiative aimed at strengthening vocational education and training (VET) in the care and IT sectors. By fostering innovation and collaboration, the project aims to equip future professionals with the skills needed to meet the evolving demands of these industries.
