The European Health Data Space (EHDS): a European sine qua non to improve patients’ health and reduce healthcare costs?

The in-person event will provide the opportunity to hear from high-level policymakers and stakeholders on key themes surrounding the digital health domain (e.g. electronic prescription and health data sharing), both from the EU and national perspective. Being at the core of the political debate, the European Health Data Space (EHDS) will be the main topic discussed by the panel. As a common European regulatory framework for the sharing of health data for primary (healthcare providers) and secondary (research and innovation) uses, the EHDS will have a major impact on the national and regional level. As innovative healthcare providers, with sound experience in providing high-quality national and cross-border digital health services, online pharmacies can contribute to making the EHDS a success. As the event will take place at the heart of German policymaking, a dedicated panel discussion – next to showcasing benefits and experiences of other EU countries – will be aimed at taking stock of the implementation of electronic prescription in Germany as well as future scenarios
