Integrated Care Thematic Innovation Ecosystem

The Integrated Care Thematic Innovation Ecosystem took place on 9 March on the topic of “ICT enabled Innovative Delivery of Services for Long COVID Patients”.

The ECHAlliance Thematic Innovation Ecosystem on Integrated Care is a forum for the sharing of good practices, exchanging ideas and gaining new knowledge.

In March 2022 the third European Connected Health Alliance (ECHAlliance) Thematic Innovation Ecosystem (TIE) on Integrated Care will be held virtually. The March 2022 TIE will continue our timely focus on examples of how the COVID-19 response has impacted the way in which Integrated Care services are delivered.

A significant feature of the global response to COVID-19 has been the recognition of Long COVID syndrome. Long COVID patients require the involvement of several different clinical specialties in the management of their care, especially those with  pre-existing ill health.

In this session the presentation and discussion will feature innovative examples of regional services in Athens and Thessaloniki in Greece, to support people who have experienced Long COVID.

Our contributors will be talking about:

  • What was the service need for Long COVID provision in the region?
  • How are innovation and collaboration supporting the delivery of services for people with Long COVID symptoms?
  • How the response to COVID-19 has resulted in improved collaboration between regional healthcare service providers in Greece?
  • What has been the impact on resource requirements for the services involved?
  • Involvement of the Greek Association for Long COVID patients
