Integration of New Solutions into Established Hospital Logistics Systems

The healthcare sector is forever progressing, and new robotics solutions should be able to integrate into already established systems. But how do you get new systems to “talk” to the “old ones”, and are there smart ways to integrate the new solutions? On 3rd September, The Network for Mobile Robots in the Healthcare Sector will focus on the integration of new solutions into established hospital logistics systems.

We expect to be able to host the network meeting physically at the Health Innovation Centre, however a maximum number of participants may be necessary if the COVID-19 regulations change before the date of the meeting.

Programme

12.30 – 13.00: Arrival, coffee and networking

13.00 – 13.10: Welcome, intro and plan for the day, by Louise Halgaard Gotfredsen, Health Innovation Centre

13.10 – 13.20: DIH-HERO – Digital Innovation Hub for Healthcare Robotics

The Danish Technological Institute will introduce opportunities for networking and funding within DIH-HERO, by Birgitte Ø. Sørensen, Danish Technological Institute

13.20 – 14.05: Automated Goods Transfer @ Vienna North Hospital (in English)

AGVs, automated buffer storage and washing of trolleys – Vienna has started their operations in July 2019 and has a state of the art – fully automated logistics system with 40 AGVs (automated guided vehicles), an automated buffer-storage (incl. cooling facilities and 2 trolley washing machines) for trolleys, a cook & chill food-concept, an extensive PTS system with automated laboratory functions and many other functionalities. We will share the process to the final and implemented project and share our lessons learned. By Thomas Strecker Leitner, Market Director Hospital Logistics, & Heike Böhm, Project Manager Hospital Logistics, Rambøll DK & AT

14.05 – 14.35: Networking Break

14.35 – 15.50: Expert Panel Discussion (Robotics/IT), Moderated by Morten Givskud, Health Innovation Centre

Gulshan Akhtar Din from the Network’s Advisory Board provides a generic introduction to the “overall structural layers“ for an IT reference architecture – including business areas, business systems, integration engine, production management and operational layers. After this, the Capital Region and the Zealand Region will present their individual choices as well as the reason behind their choice of systems (particularly the integration engine – ERP, MESH and so on.). Finally, the companies Gibotech, Intelligent Systems and Clausen Project will give their input and support the panel discussion with their knowledge and experiences.

Panel Participants:

Glenn Petersen, Enterprise Architect, Capital Region

Troels Werner Christensen, Chief Consultant, & Lars Østrup Leding, IT Architect, Zealand Region Group IT

Mikkel Bjerregaard, Gibotech

Niki Nicholas Grigoriou, Intelligent Systems

Søren Clausen, Clausen Project

15.50 – 16.00: Wrap up – Thank you for coming

About The Network for Mobile Robots in the Healthcare Sector

The Health Innovation Centre, RoboCluster and Danish Healthtech collaborate to run The Network for Mobile Robots in the Healthcare Sector. The purpose of the network is to share knowledge and provide matchmaking regarding mobile robots across public regions, companies and other public stakeholders within the healthcare sector, where robotics is an important part of the solutions when it comes to streamlining the future sustainable healthcare sector. Particpation in the network is free but you need to be a member of RoboCluster, which is also free.

PLACE: Health Innovation Centre of Southern Denmark, Forskerparken 10 G, Odense, Denmark
