Personal Health Records (PHRs) enable people to view their own medical records, book appointments, and upload and manage their own health information. NHS England is encouraging health care providers to adopt PHR solutions as way for patients to better control and manage their health and care.

This GM Connected Health Ecosystem meeting is a joint event organised by the Applied Research Collaboration Greater Manchester and Health Innovation Manchester. It brings together stakeholders from Greater Manchester (patients, health care providers, policy makers and industry partners) to explore and discuss their views and expectations of PHRs. This will inform strategic thinking in Greater Manchester about how PHRs can optimise patients’ experience and opportunities for improved services and outcomes.

The meeting will be in-person. Refreshments and lunch will be provided.

The Ecosystem works in conjunction with a number of key strategic partners across the Health & Social Care spectrum to deliver this, such as the GM Academic Health Science Network (GMAHSN), Manchester Academic Health Science Centre (MAHSC), Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA) Councils, NHS England, Foundation Trust hospitals, Clinical Commissioning Groups and Industry.
