Following on from a series of awareness-raising initiatives starting at eHealth Week in 2013 and culminating at the Health Informatics Society of Ireland Annual Conference in November 2014, the Department of Health working with the Health Service Executive (HSE) has chosen the Health Informatics Society of Ireland (HISI) and the European Connected Health Alliance (ECHAlliance) to facilitate the external support of the eHealth Ireland Ecosystem by bringing together stakeholders from across the eHealth spectrum.
Bringing improved population wellbeing, health service efficiencies and economic opportunity through the use of technology-enabled solutions.
The aim of the Ecosystem is to help to break down silos and develop lasting collaborations to transform healthcare delivery and create economic growth. Most importantly we believe that the Ecosystem will help us to achieve the objectives of the HSE and transform relationships in the delivery of healthcare in a technology-enabled environment for better patient outcomes.
