The Yorkshire & Humber AHSN is a member organisation acting as an honest broker to build networks and connect people, organisations and technology. We bring relevant people, organisations and resources together to adopt and spread innovation at pace and scale that benefit citizens, improve NHS cost effectiveness and create economic growth for the region and nationally.
Propel Bootcamp programme
Propel@YH Boot Camp is a week-long accelerator programme for international companies who want to bring their products to the UK healthcare market
The Propel@YH digital health accelerator is owned and organised by the Yorkshire & Humber Academic Health Science Network (AHSN) and welcomed its first cohort of innovators in 2019.
Propel@YH provides a six-month course of structured support and advice to UK-based small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to help them navigate the complex NHS landscape, increase market presence and accelerate their growth. Since its inception Propel@YH has supported more than 45 companies.
Our Boot Camp for innovators outside the UK builds on the success of Propel@YH and has been developed with international HealthTech SMEs in mind. The five-day programme of intensive support and masterclass content provided by our expert partners gives them a crash course on the UK healthcare market, access to subject matter experts and the opportunity to engage directly with local NHS stakeholders as well as the wider HealthTech ecosystem in the Yorkshire and Humber region.
We have run programmes with US, Nordics, India and Canada, and we are looking for new opportunities with partners to run programmes in new countries across the globe.
The aim of the Yorkshire & Humber AHSN is to create significant improvements in the health of the population by reducing service variability and improving patient experience in the health care system. The Yorkshire & Humber AHSN will assist in ensuring new innovative products and services that have the potential to transform lives become part of routine clinical practice. The Yorkshire & Humber AHSN will also assist in providing economic growth for the region, supporting inward investment projects and industry that support the health sector.
