ECHAlliance supports MULTI-ACT project & the impact of health research on people with brain disease

ECHAlliance is delighted to be taking part in the External Advisory Board for a European project called MULTI-ACT, which has been funded through Horizon 2020 as part of the Science with and for Society Programme

Our Funding Lead Andy Bleaden will take part in the first External Advisory Board meeting which will take place in Milan on 9 April.

Andy commented “We are very excited to be part of a project whose ultimate objective is to increase the impact of health research on people with brain diseases. We hope to see that MULTI-ACT  will provide a new Collective Research Impact Framework (CRIF) which will be translated into guidelines and tools to improve stakeholder co-accountability in health (and specifically, brain) research and innovation (R&I). For ECHAlliance it is great to see a project that is targeting the adoption of Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI) principles in the field of brain diseases”.

The MULTI-ACT project is led by the Italian Multiple Sclerosis Foundation and foresees patients and their community as key stakeholders in the Health Research & Innovation (R&I) process.

The project will create and implement a new model allowing for the effective cooperation of all relevant stakeholders. This will be applicable in defining the scope of health research as well as new metrics for the evaluation of its results and the assessment of its capacity to generate value for the society as a whole.

For more information about MULTI-ACT please visit the website: https://www.multiact.eu/and follow the project on Twitter @MULTIACTProj.
