Embark on an enlightening journey on February 28th as the Digital Health and Wellness Summit returns to Barcelona, Spain, seamlessly integrated into the prestigious 4YFN – Mobile World Congress. Attracting over 88,000 participants worldwide, this annual event promises a convergence of insights, innovation, and collaboration in the dynamic field of innovation.

 

The summit’s morning session kicks off with the highly anticipated “Africa Is Rising – Africa Digital Health Networks.” Esteemed speakers from diverse corners of the globe will share their expertise and experiences, offering a unique perspective on the rapidly evolving landscape of digital health.

Speakers:

  • Brian O’Connor – Chairman, ECHAlliance (United Kingdom):

As the founder of ECHAlliance, he has been instrumental in connecting governments, industry, research institutes, health services, and patient groups globally. His influence extends to innovative companies and start-ups.

  • Declan Kirraine – Chairman, Science Summit at United Nations General Assembly (United Kingdom):

As the Founder and Managing Director of ISC Intelligence in Science, Declan Kirraine boasts over 25 years of experience as a global senior adviser on science policy and regulation. He also chairs the Science Summit at the United Nations General Assembly.

  • Amit Thakker – Chairman, Africa Health Business (Kenya):

Dr. Amit N. Thakker, a visionary entrepreneur, has played a pivotal role in integrating the private sector into Africa’s healthcare system. Actively supporting public-private partnerships, Dr. Thakker holds leadership roles in various organizations.

  • Jean Philbert Nsengimana – Chief Digital Advisor, Centre for Disease Control (Rwanda):

Serving as the Chief Digital Health Advisor at Africa CDC, Jean Philbert Nsengimana is also a special advisor to the Commons Project and the Digital Impact Alliance. His work focuses on leveraging technology and data for Africa’s prosperity.

 

According to Brian O’Connor, the summit promises “practical, on-the-ground advice, real-time insights, and an educational journey into our current status. The second aspect will shed light on what Africa envisions for the future in collaboration with global stakeholders.”
