Programme:

Horizon Europe – EU Cancer Mission

Duration:

1 May 2023
-
30 April 2027

4P-CAN project presents a novel citizen engagement model for the adoption of cancer primary prevention measures, which complements the existing Code and is tailored to the unique contexts of the studied countries.

PROJECT

Scope and objectives

The primary objective of the 4P-CAN project is to gain a comprehensive understanding of the barriers hindering the adoption of the European Code Against Cancer (ECAC) among citizens in select Eastern EU countries. Additionally, the project aims to explore how the ECAC can be tailored to suit the specific circumstances of Eastern non-EU countries. By employing a personalized communication model and developing a deep understanding of the realities faced by citizens, the project seeks to propose innovative approaches for promoting healthy behaviors. Ultimately, the 4P-CAN project presents a novel citizen engagement model for the adoption of cancer primary prevention measures, which complements the existing Code and is tailored to the unique contexts of the studied countries.

PROJECT

Consortium

The 4P-CAN project is a collaboration among 17 organizations from 11 different countries, including the Balkan countries, which are European Union (EU) Member States and non-EU Member States, and Western EU Member States such as Portugal, Italy, France, Ireland, and Belgium.
