We welcome our new Chile Health Ecosystem! Read the interview with its ecosystem coordinator
We are pleased to welcome the Chilean Health Ecosystem. Read the interesting interview with Alejandra García, Head of Innovation at CENS.
Who are the key stakeholders?
Our stakeholders come from different sectors: academia, industry (insurance, associations), entrepreneurs/start-ups, public and private health, government and patients who are the users of the system.
What are the main objectives of your ecosystems?
- To facilitate connections between actors which will drive improvements in the Chilean health system.
- To increase access to international markets for solutions made in Chile or successful initiatives developed by ecosystem actors.
- To learn how to develop initiatives collaboratively, sharing benefits and risks.
Why did you join the ECHAlliance Network of Ecosystems?
The ECHAlliance has extensive experience in the generation and maintenance of ecosystems and is also very willing to support the generation of new ecosystems such as ours. Also, it has a large network of members who can contribute to reaching our goals as an ecosystem.
Who is missing from your ecosystem in terms of stakeholders?
The most challenging thing is to get stakeholders engagement, the “co-responsability concept”, which means that the responsibility is common (not an individual, rather a collective benefit) to two or more people, who share an obligation or commitment/benefits and risks.
Which ecosystems are you looking to collaborate with?
We are looking to collaborate with ecosystems that seek partnerships with emerging ecosystems like ours. Particularly, we would be glad to collaborate with ecosystems that have consolidated working dynamics, clear goals and success stories that can be adapted to the reality of our country.
