European Healthcare Procurement Awards 2022 will gather the best procurement talent in one place. The award ceremony will be held during the 1st Pan-European Hospital and Healthcare Procurement Summit at the Brussels Square Conference Centre on 21-22 September 2022. These awards will recognise outstanding professional achievement in the procurement field. The purpose of the awards is to inspire and motivate individuals and teams and help propel procurement into a more sustainable future, by placing best practice front and centre and showcasing some of the most innovative, influential solutions and initiatives in the field.

The three awards categories are:

  1. Digitalisation & Transparency

Digitisation and transparency are among the central pillars of decision-making in all procurement projects. This subject is not just about pricing: it also incorporates the way in which procurement managers communicate with industry colleagues and end users. How full transparency can be achieved at both national and European levels is one of the cornerstones of the summit, and we are keen to hear how professionals in the industry are already dealing with this challenge.

At the same time, the entire procurement world beyond healthcare is going digital – but hospitals are still 10 years behind the curve. Millions in efficiency reserves can be leveraged if efficient digital tools are used. How is your organisation leveraging digital resources to bring procurement into the 21st century?

  1. Sustainability

Another central pillar of the summit is: how to reach net zero. What does the implementation of the EU’s ‘Fit for 55’ program mean in terms of legislation for future tenders that favour products with a lower CO2 footprint? How is your department or organisation working towards reducing emissions? Have you already achieved net zero, or are you close to doing so? How did you achieve this?

  1. Innovation & Procurement Excellence

This category is your opportunity to tell us about how you have achieved excellence in the procurement field. We want to hear about your innovative solutions to the challenges faced by the industry, as well as examples of how best practise has solved problems for you and your team. This is your opportunity to shine, and to inspire fellow procurement professionals to do the same.

Organisations eligible to apply for these awards must be based in Europe and belong to one of the following categories:

  • Hospitals (public and private)
  • Care homes
  • Clinics
  • Group Procurement (Purchasing) Organisations / Central Purchasing Bodies
  • Research Institutes & Academia
  • Local Authorities

If you are interested in being considered for the European Healthcare Procurement Awards, then you must submit your application until Friday 22 July 2022
