Oulu was ranked by the world’s most comprehensive startup ecosystem map, StartupBlink, as a top city for healthtech. Finland also took a high place on the list.

StartupBlink gathers information about startup ecosystems globally and focuses on accelerating their growth. It ranks the startup ecosystems of 100 countries and 1,000 cities. According to its Global Startup Ecosystem Index, the current top location for unicorn startups in healthtech is the United States, followed by China, India, and Finland. Oulu received significant recognition for the most remarkable change of 549,99% compared to its global ranking. This grants the city 30th place on the list of the best cities for healthtech. Oulu is Finland’s only representative on the list.

StartupBlink’s algorithm is based on objective, quantifiable data that can be comparatively measured across regions, countries, and cities.
