We are delighted to share that Joan Cornet Prat is now part of our team as our newest ambassador. With a dynamic background in technical engineering and psychology, Joan brings a wealth of experience to our community.
Joan’s journey is truly remarkable. After five successful years as a clinical psychologist, he entered public service, eventually becoming the mayor of Manresa City Hall in 1979. Following this, he contributed significantly as a high-level civil servant in the European Commission in Brussels, leading impactful projects like the EURES European employment services.
Throughout his illustrious career, Joan held key roles such as the General Secretary of the Department of Health for the Government of Catalonia and CEO of Biocat ( Biotech agency) and the TicSalut Foundation (ICT Health). His influence extended globally as the Director of the “mHealth Competence Centre” at Mobile World Capital Barcelona.
Joan’s commitment to digital health and innovation is evident through his involvement in organisations like ECHAlliance and Asociación Salud Digital. As a Business Development Advisor for DKV Innolab Digital Health and a Senior Expert for Croatia Digital Health National Plan, he has played a pivotal role in shaping the future of healthcare.

“It is an honour and a privilege to be named an international ambassador for ECHAlliance, to promote its mission and goals through various channels, including social media, public speaking engagements, and networking events, to raise awareness about the importance of digital transformation in healthcare. It is a real pleasure to work with Brian O’Connor and his team.
I would like, among other activities, to conduct research on emerging trends and technologies in digital health and share insights and findings with the broader healthcare community.
At the same time, if needed, write articles, blog posts, and opinion pieces for relevant publications to establish ECHAlliance as a thought leader in the field of enhancing healthcare innovation”.
