Dr Amit N. Thakker receives the prestigious Elder of the Order of the Burning Spear (E.B.S.),
Dr Amit N. Thakker, Executive Chairman of Africa Health Business, was awarded the prestigious Elder of the Order of the Burning Spear (E.B.S.), one of Kenya’s highest Presidential honours. This recognition celebrates his exemplary service to Kenya and exceptional leadership in transforming healthcare systems, making a profound impact both nationally and internationally. As a valued partner of ECHAlliance and cherished friend, Dr Thakker’s dedication continues to inspire our entire organisation.
Rich Scarfo, President of HLTH invitation to the White House
In a notable achievement for Women’s Health advocacy, distinguished GHCP Council Member Rich Scarfo, President of HLTH was invited to the White House in December 2024 to attend the White House Conference on Women’s Health Research, championed by First Lady Dr Jill Biden and Maria Shriver. The conference focused on transformative initiatives to improve women’s health. Reflecting on Dr Biden’s words, “Today is not the finish line; it is the starting point,” Rich emphasised HLTH’s commitment to driving critical conversations and lasting progress.
Ann Mond Johnson is named one of Modern Healthcare’s 100 Most Influential People in Healthcare
We are also proud to celebrate Ann Mond Johnson, CEO of ATA, who was named one of Modern Healthcare’s 100 Most Influential People in Healthcare. This prestigious recognition honours her exceptional leadership in advancing telehealth and transforming patient access to care. Under Ann’s guidance, the ATA has pioneered innovation, advocacy and collaboration, helping to shape the future of virtual care.
