As 2024 draws to a close, African Global Health (AGH) proudly reflects on a year filled with transformative achievements and impactful initiatives. Fueled by the unwavering dedication of its members and partners, the second half of the year has been marked by a series of bold actions, demonstrating AGH’s commitment to education, mental health, and sustainable development.
Books for All: Spreading Knowledge and Solidarity
This summer, ahead of the new school year, AGH launched the inspiring initiative “Books for All”. In collaboration with Orion Publishing and the Regional Academy of Education and Training in the Casablanca-Settat region, this campaign aimed to bring the joy of reading to young minds. A testament to AGH’s belief that culture is a cornerstone of youth empowerment and social progress.
A Promising Partnership with LUNA
Education and social solidarity took center stage as AGH partnered with the LUNA association to champion inclusive education. Together, they aim to enrich school programs, support vulnerable students, and train educators as well as mental health professionals in schools. This partnership is set to reshape Morocco’s educational landscape and foster a culture of support and inclusion.
Dr. Imane Kendili Honored with an Excellence Award
At the prestigious summit celebrating Africa’s Top 100 Most Remarkable Companies, AGH’s president, Dr. Imane Kendili, received an Excellence Award in recognition of her outstanding contributions to family and community development across the continent. This accolade underscores her leadership and dedication to prioritizing health and well-being in Africa.
Mental Health and Social Innovation: AGH Leading the Way
During the 11th edition of “Social Innovation: Towards Sustainable Workplace Health”, AGH stood out as a strategic partner. Collaborating with the Interprofessional Mutual Fund of Morocco (CMIM), AGH showcased its expertise in addressing corporate mental health challenges and promoting sustainable development, emphasizing the urgent needs of Morocco and Africa at large.
TikTok and Mental Health: A Groundbreaking Collaboration
In December, AGH joined TikTok’s inaugural Mental Health Summit in Casablanca. Sharing its expertise, AGH highlighted innovative ways social media platforms can be leveraged to foster community well-being. This partnership places AGH at the forefront of integrating technology into public health solutions.
A Visionary Publication in the Making
As the year wraps up, AGH is hard at work preparing the second edition of “Harm Reduction: The Manifesto”. This ambitious publication brings together international experts – from physicians and philosophers to economists and policymakers – to tackle today’s pressing global challenges, including pandemics, climate crises, and social inequalities. Poised to become a reference in its field, the 2025 edition invites bold new ideas and actionable strategies for risk reduction.
An Invitation to Collaborate
AGH welcomes experts and partners to contribute their insights to this groundbreaking book. Together, we can craft the solutions the world needs for a brighter future.
