The Life Sciences Hub Wales Ltd (LSHW) is a vibrant and dynamic organisation committed to creating economic benefits and securing high quality health and social care through innovation for people and families across Wales.

During the past 12 months they have refocused our strategic direction. In line with Welsh Government objectives and guidance from our Board of Directors, they have moved from a business membership organisation to an open participation driver of the life sciences industry, working closely with clinicians and the NHS, Industry, Academia and Government.

They now require a Chief Executive Officer who will guide the Company through this period of change and play a leading role in positioning Wales as the place of choice for health, care and wellbeing innovation. 


Reporting to the Chair of the Company, Chief Executive Officer will guide the Company through a significant period of change and play a lead role in positioning Wales as the place of choice for health, care and wellbeing innovation.


An inspiring innovation champion, the CEO will create a vision for success, building a ‘can-do’ culture within our motivated workforce and deliver strong, fruitful relationships with our stakeholders, promoting collaboration with, and building links between NHS Wales and industry.


The CEO will drive the development and execution of activities to contribute to the delivery of the Welsh Government’s objectives outlined in the Prosperity for All: the national strategy and Economic Action Plan, and as Principal Accountable Officer will be accountable to the Welsh Ministers for the effective and efficient use of public funds, deploying robust controls to ensure probity, transparency and value for money.


A challenging yet rewarding role, this position provides an exciting opportunity to make a real difference to NHS Wales and regional industry, and substantially contribute to a step change to the health and wealth of the people in Wales.
