A Meet & Greet on June, 28 with a digital solution for clients providing care and recovery, enabling them to stay independently for longer and keeping up social participation.
Platform GEEF will receive professionals in the field of care and welfare for a meet & greet workshop with the digitalized rollator LEA. Lea is a digital walker with innovative robot technology. Technology that helps people with a disability to recover more quickly, staying independent for longer and being able to participate in social environments.
"We are extremely enthusiastic and proud that in the first week after market introduction everyone in Friesland can get to know this robot", says Mia Schaafsma, director of Platform GEEF. Professionals, students and informal carers can personally meet Lea. Mia Schaafsma: "Experience how Lea comes to you when you need her, supports you when you get up from bed and walk safely, invites you for a dance if you need movement therapy and keep you in touch with family, caregivers and professionals at distance. A digital , sociable mobility buddy that feels very close."
With this workshop Platform GEEF wants to transfer knowledge and enthusiasm about robot technology to - future - professionals and informal carers 'in the field'. And Platform GEEF wants participants to think about what this technology, and Lea in particular, can mean for their daily work. They work together during the workshop on a plan of action on how robot roller Lea can get a place in care and support, at home or in a care institution.
Digital innovations are a welcome complement for healthcare professionals. This is the first time that Platform GEEF, in collaboration with the business community, introduces professionals, (practice) students and informal carers to an innovative tool. The Hague start-up Robot Care Systems worked together with care clients on this robot roller/walker/rollator for 3 years.
