This second edition of #RIES focused on health innovation was a great success with an attendance of 140 people from all the different sectors of the Galician Health Ecosystem. Our main objectives were achieved: projecting Ourense and Galicia health innovation outside our region while connecting the key players of our ecosystem.

The interest was such, that a pre meeting on Monday 25th of September was necessary to present health innovation projects based in the region of Ourense. The event was broadly announced in radio and fully covered in press and TV afterwards:

The event was divided into three blocks which were interconnected: #RIES2017 - ECHAlliance, #CODIGOMAIS & #LIVINGLABOU.

He also shared the need of a certification in order to validate and manage health apps. It is the first European region to address this issue.

Luis Soares, cluster manager of Health Cluster Portugal (HCP) and Gisela Garcia-Alvarez, cluster manager of Health Cluster Galicia (CSG), presented the first results for Codigo Mais, Interreg project which aims the creating of a trans border health innovation ecosystem. At this stage the different stakeholders together with the key opinion leaders of each region have identified five needs, opportunities, challenges and priorities which will be the basis for the elaboration of a strategic plan.

CSG included the exchange of results with ECHAlliance as one of the key actions for the required internalization of the outcome.
