The Digital Health around the Globe 2017 Summit (DHS 2017) will be held as part of the PT EXPO CHINA at the National Convention Centre in Beijing from September 27-29, 2017. The event invites the entire digital health ecosystem, including governments and policy-makers, leading companies and start-ups, national agencies, trade associations, healthcare professionals and providers, researchers, investors, and others.
This high-level conference will showcase the most innovative solutions and the key technology trends in digital health, such as as Big Data, Artificial intelligence and machine learning, smart healthy cities and cloud computing.
A key objective will be to build bridges between European and Chinese strategies on the digital economy and innovation for health & wellbeing, such as Horizon 2020 EU programme, China Health 2030, and the programme One Road, One Belt. This includes the China Elderly Ecosystem and the overseas market expansion of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM),which has widespread usage across China.

Presence of the Estonian Presidency of the European Union Council
The conference will receive the representatives of the Estonian Presidency of the European Union Council in 2017, and the Ministry of the Social Affairs of Estonia in order to enhance the partnerships between Europe and China.
From the 1st of July 2017 to the end of the year, Estonia holds the Presidency of the EU Council. One of the top priorities defined by the Estonian Government for the Presidency programme is the development of the Digital Single Market (DSM) and the Digital Economy in Europe, bringing more services and benefits to EU citizens. The EU’s 5th right around the Free Flow of Data (beside the free flows of Citizens, Services, Products and Capital), is a key enabler of the DSM in Europe. Health and social care services are also going through this digital transformation and the Estonian 2017 EU Presidency aims to move forward the deployment and the implementation of Digital health across Europe.
In preparation for this, the Estonian Ministry of Social Affairs has appointed European Connected Health Alliance (ECHAlliance) as its International Strategic Partner in order to develop the agenda of activities around the concept of the Digital Health Society (DSH) and to launch a large collaborative work with the main EU key stakeholders representing policy-makers, citizens, health professionals, scientists, companies and payers.
