Brussels region COCOM and its /resource/resmgr/images/Brussels_Launch_/PAQS.png partners, Réseau Santé Bruxellois (Brussels Health Network), Abrumet, innovIRIS.Brussels, lifetech.Brussels, AGORIA and PAQS, have organised the Brussels e-health week, from 24 to 28 April 2017, which has explored eHealth trends through a programme including talks from experts, meetings between key players in the healthcare, innovation and business sectors, and concrete projects presentations. The partners have also published an online campaign to educate patients and doctors on the benefits of e-health.

The event has been the opportunity to present in detail Réseau Santé Bruxellois (Brussels Health Network), which allows patients’ medical records to be shared electronically and securely so that their health and, ultimately, public health can be improved.

Brussels region's partners and the ECHAlliance have engaged discussions several months ago and, during the Connected Health Awards ceremony on 27th April, the Brussels Minister Gosuin (in charge of Health and Economy) has announced the launch of the Brussels Ecosystem. The ECHAlliance is pleased to welcome Brussels as part its International Network of Ecosystems.

Brussels Minister Gosuin said:

"Thanks to this platform (e-santé.brussels), Brussels will join the European network ECHAlliance (European Connected Health Alliance), a network that aims to bring together the different e-health ecosystems, A specific model (eg list of stakeholder categories to be included, meeting formats, benchmarking on the evolution of other health networks, etc.), given that some regions have different stages of development in terms of development But they share the same objectives: to contribute to improved health care and to encourage innovation / entrepreneurship, and thus job creation.
