ECHAlliance at eHealth Week 2017
ECHAlliance were pleased to take a leading role at eHealth Week 2017, with members of the team speaking at several key sessions on virtual reality, changing the way we think and scaling up digital innovation. The team profiled some of the most exciting innovations from across Europe through our ‘1 minute interviews’ and, alongside the European Commission and HIMSS, hosted Speakers Corner to give a stage to twenty five excellent projects. ECHAlliance was also delighted to launch the ECHAlliance Coalition of the Willing – a new movement to lead the transformation of digital health across Europe and to kick off the Digital Health Society, as part of our partnership with the Estonian eHealth Presidency 2017.

In a dynamic and fast moving session the ECHAlliance inspired Coalition of the Willing presented in Malta.

Kick Off meeting of the "Digital Health Society Group" part of the Estonia EU Presidency
As a part of the Estonia 2017 EU Presidency, ECHAlliance has been appointed by the Ministry of Social Affairs of Estonia as its International Strategic Partner and co-organiser of the high-level conference that will take place 16-18 October 2017 in Tallinn (click here for more information).
The Ministry of Social Affairs of Estonia and ECHAlliance have developed the Digital Health Society (DHS) Declaration, as a call for actions about the strategies and actions to achieve the digital transformation of healthcare systems in Europe.
This Declaration, presenting barriers to overcome and practical solutions, will be developed collectively through a support group called the Digital Health Society group, gathering several EU key stakeholders representing policy-makers, citizens, health professionals, scientists, companies and payers. The DHS Declaration will be officially presented and signed during the eHealth conference in Tallinn next October, and it will also be the support document for EU council recommendations to be published in December 2017.
The DHS Declaration and the associated group, facilitated by ECHAlliance, is promoted by the Estonian government and its partners all along the Presidency, but also aim to become permanent beyond 2017 with annual activities related to future presidency.

Market Access through ECHAlliance Ecosystems
On the morning of Thursday 11th May, ECHAlliance hosted a special session on the opportunities presented through ECHAlliance Ecosystems:
Profiling Innovation – 1 minute interviews and Speakers Corner
1 minute interviews were a new innovation for this year, live streaming via Twitter some short, snappy interviews with key digital health interviews. We were pleased to offer the platform both to members and others with some great stories to tell.
Here’s a selection:
Speakers Corner showcased a wide range of excellent projects drawn from across Europe in quick fire, five minute presentations. The model provides a stage to innovative ideas and an opportunity for delegates to interact with projects in a less formal setting.
ECHAlliance was pleased to work in partnership with the European Commission and HIMSS to host the sessions.
